Welcome!  My name is Misty and I am a mom of 3 amazing kiddos, plus 1 fabulous daughter-in-law. I homeschool our daughter, share oils with whoever is willing to listen, and help my husband in his discipleship ministry.

I find it hard to believe, but my husband and I have been married for over 25 years!  Through those years we were blessed with two wild boys and one sweet girl.  Life has been an adventure over the years, but never boring.

Matt married his love, Shelby, in June 2018.  After completing his MBA, he is now working in the marketing field he studied for and adjusting to life as a non-student.  Shelby is working on her masters in counseling and together they are learning how to live life together and loving it.

Daniel is a Media Communications student.  He is constantly on the go with friends or film projects.  He shares custody of a bearded dragon named Kahl, which is not allowed in my house and somehow still manages to show up.  Daniel keeps us laughing and our eyes rolling.

Sarah is growing up way too fast and we are not looking forward to that moment when boys start knocking on the door.  She loves reading, riding horses, and anything nature.  Sarah is tough and sweet and sassy all rolled into one.  Having big brothers has toughened her up, but she has managed to keep them wrapped around her little finger.

My husband Brian is an ordained Methodist pastor and, after serving churches for 11 years, is now working in the academic world.  While his main job is in administration, his favorite part of his work is teaching and mentoring students who will soon be serving churches themselves.  He is also involved in a discipleship movement called Inspire which helps people develop a deeper relationship with God and to live missionally in the world around them.

As for me, I am a stay-at-home mom.  I homeschool our daughter and have my own essential oils business.  I am in the midst of trying to simplify our lives and that seems to be easier said than done.  We are trying to live more intentionally, naturally, and healthier.  It will be a long journey, but we are taking it one step at a time.

We currently live in the suburbs, but have dreams to own some land in a few years and to spend time traveling here and abroad.  But until that happens, we are working on embracing where God has us planted and using our home to bless others for Him.  I say working, because sometimes it is hard to see His purpose in the waiting season.

We believe in the one true God, creator of heaven and earth.  We believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, who was crucified, died, and rose again so that we can live forever with our Father in heaven.

We believe that the Bible is the ultimate authority and strive to live our life as He teaches us in His word.  We believe that He sent us the Holy Spirit to work in our lives and help us to live a life that honors Him.

We believe that we are all sinners, that we all fall short, and that we are all loved regardless of our sin.  We believe in the forgiveness of those sins through Jesus Christ and that forgiveness is available to all who seek Him.

We believe in grace, that we are not perfect, but that perfection in Christ is our goal.  As we learn more, we strive more, and through God’s grace we achieve more.  We believe that transformation comes from the inside out through God’s grace and his working within us.

We believe the love of Christ is for everyone and that we are called to love others as He loves us.  We believe that sometimes loving someone means speaking a hard truth into their lives and that sometimes loving others hurts, but we also believe there is grace in love and in truth.

If you are seeking and questioning or wondering or hurting, we want you to know that we are here to help you.  We may not have the answers, but we know the One who does and He loves you. Feel free to reach out to us and we will be glad to help you experience His love and grace and peace.

No matter where you are, how unworthy you feel, know that you are loved.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—

and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Living thru faith,
